Rachel is throwing her life away and doesn’t even realize what a privilege it is for her. They don’t even get the opportunity to ruin their futures.

When Rachel said “Are you jealous? Don’t be jealous.” to Kurt at the beginning of the episode, I just about wanted to slap her. Of course he’s jealous. He wouldn’t get married now, because he knows better. But he couldn’t get married now, even if he wanted to. 

And you know they’ve talked about it, between Kurt’s lack of reply when Rachel asked him about proposals and Blaine’s looking forward to marriage equality. And it’s immensely insensitive of her - a character with two gay dads who likely aren’t married! - to not listen to a thing they have to say about it. 

Of course he’s jealous. Christ, Rachel, listen to yourself.
